The “Workers of St. Elizabeth the New Martyr”, an outreach program of our Parish Family, has been working with
the Catholic Workers of Akron in providing tutoring and preparing meals for families.
Meals have been prepared by Mary Magensky and Rose Marie Vronick during
the months of December through May, and delivered to the Casa Maria Jose on Princeton Street located in the vicinity of our
Church. Donations have been received from Elaine Pedder, Ann Haymon, Barb Alexander, Mary Magesnky and Rose Marie Vronick
– It takes every bit of $20.00 to prepare a meal for 10-14 people. Any help would be appreciated: by either preparing
a meal or by donating food or money.
Tutoring some of the children is an excellent way of getting
involved. Veronica Bilas and Subdeacon Terrence Bilas with some teacher friends have been providing this
service on Tuesday evenings during the school year
Remember,
the “Workers of St. Elizabeth” welcome all wishing to share their
time, talent, and the blessings God has bestowed on them, with our own Parish Community and our brothers
and sisters in the greater-Akron area. Our mission is CPR – Continuous Parish Renewal!
Through the prayers of the Holy Passion-Bearer Elizabeth,
may Christ our God have mercy on us, and save us!
